Why parents choose us

A school small enough to notice.

We are not the biggest school in Nayapur. We would rather be the one where your child's teacher knows what they had for lunch.

01

Every child known by name

Sections of 30 at most and one class teacher who stays with a group for two years.

02

Parents kept in the loop

A short note every Friday in English and Hindi, and a real conversation at every parent-teacher meeting.

03

Something to do with the hands

Labs from Class VI, a garden plot for every primary section, and a workshop with real tools.

04

Sport and art on the timetable

Not squeezed in after exams. One hour outdoors each day and two periods of art, music or dance a week.

Academics

Four stages, one steady climb.

Our curriculum follows the CBSE pattern and the 5 + 3 + 3 + 4 stages. Choose a stage to see what a year looks like.

A day at Vidyankur

  1. Morning assembly seen from behind: rows of students in light-blue uniforms facing a teacher under the trees

    Assembly

The whole school in the courtyard: a song, the day's news read by a Class VII student, and two minutes of quiet.

    01 / 05

  2. Bright classroom from the back row: students in light-blue uniforms at wooden desks, a teacher at the whiteboard

    Classes

Small sections and teachers who know where each child got stuck yesterday. Questions are part of the lesson.

    02 / 05

  3. Gloved hands holding a beaker of green-blue liquid in the science lab, safety goggles and test tubes on the bench

    Labs

Physics, chemistry, biology and a robotics room. Students do the experiment themselves, in pairs, with goggles on.

    03 / 05

  4. School playing field and running track at golden hour, small figures playing football in the distance

    Sports

An hour outdoors every day: cricket nets, football, athletics, kho-kho and yoga on the lawn when it is too hot to run.

    04 / 05

  5. Art room with colourful paintings on easels, jars of brushes, a pair of tabla and a harmonium on a rug

    Arts and clubs

Painting, Kathak, tabla, theatre and the robotics club. Buses leave at 15:50; after-school care runs until 17:30.

Principal and teachers

The people your child will spend the day with.

Parents ask me what makes a good school. I think it is simple: children who are not afraid to ask a question, and teachers who have the time to answer it properly.

For parents

Questions parents ask us.

Three years or older on 31 March of the year they join. For LKG and UKG it is four and five. We follow the state's age guidelines for Class I.

Not for Nursery to Class II: we meet the child and parents together for an informal chat. From Class III we add a short worksheet in English and maths so we know where to begin, not to filter children out.

A CBSE-pattern curriculum with NCERT textbooks, plus our own reading programme and lab work. Class X and XII students sit the board examinations.

Tuition, lab and library use, sport, and most club activities. Books, uniform, transport and optional trips are billed separately and listed before the session starts.

Every bus has GPS tracking, CCTV, a trained driver and a woman attendant. Children are handed over only to a parent or a guardian registered with the office.

Yes. After-school care runs until 17:30 with a snack, homework time and supervised play, for a small monthly charge.

Birth certificate, the last report card and transfer certificate (from Class II onwards), four passport-size photos and address proof. The office will tell you if anything else is needed.
